Bashneft ups H1 oil output 12.4% to 9.5 mln tonnes

MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - Bashneft boosted oil production 12.4% year-on-year in H1 2015 to 9.54 million tonnes, the company said in a statement.

Oil production grew 10.4% to 4.83 million tonnes in the second quarter. Average daily output in the quarter hit 53,100 tonnes, its highest level since 1993.

Strong growth of oil production in Q2 2015 was driven by a 2.5% increase in production at brownfields - mainly due to the commissioning of new wells and highly efficient geological and engineering operations in Bashkortostan.

The Trebs and Titov fields in the Nenets Autonomous District and the Sorovskoye field in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District, which provided 14.6% of the company's total production in Q2 2015, played a significant role in the production increase.

Trebs-Titov produced 310,000 tonnes and Sorovskoye - 397,000 tonnes in Q2.
