Ex-Yukos shareholders won't go to Russian courts if Russia refuses to pay 2 bln euros under ECHR ruling - lawyer
MOSCOW. July 15 (Interfax) - Lawyers for former Yukos shareholders are not planning to go to Russian courts if Russia refuses to pay 2 billion euros under a European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) judgment, believing that their decisions would predictably not be in their favor, says Tim Osborne, a lawyer for former Yukos shareholders.
Speaking to Interfax on Wednesday, Osborne said the lawyers were planning to wait for a Council of Europe Committee of Ministers meeting to deal with the enforcement of the ECHR decisions planned for September 2015, which should address the situation and air its judgment on the matter.
