Rogozin believes construction of Vostochny will proceed according to schedule despite difficulties

NOVO-OGARYOVO. July 15 (Interfax) - The construction of Vostochny cosmodrome proceeds with great difficulties but builders are catching up with the timetable and plans will be carried out on time, Vice Premier Dmitry Rogozin has said.

"Construction proceeds with great difficulties. People are working in three shifts catching up with the timetable which was marred by great delays even half a year ago," Rogozin said at a Wednesday meeting of the president with Cabinet members.

He said the formation of a special commission and the transfer of powers to the government proved justified "otherwise we would have dropped out from this timetable altogether."

"So far we project that everything will be on time. If there are going to be any digressions, I will report to you, but so far I won't because we are getting on time," the vice premier said.
