Moscow calls on Kyiv to closely follow Minsk II accords

MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - Moscow is again calling on Kyiv to fulfill the Minsk agreements and is hoping the West will convince the Ukrainian authorities to begin nationwide dialogue, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported on Friday.

"We are calling on the Ukrainian side to stop creating the illusion of a political settlement process and closely follow the spirit and letter of Minsk II," the ministry said in a statement on the constitutional process sin Ukraine posted on its website.

"We are also hoping that our Western partners will still convince the Ukrainian authorities to begin real nationwide dialogue in the country, instead of encouraging such irresponsible policies of Kyiv," the statement says.
