Azeri president awards media personalities on occasion of 140th national press anniversary
BAKU. July 21 (Interfax) - Azeri President Ilham Aliyev has awarded media personalities on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the national press, says a report posted on the presidential website.
Representatives of the Interfax-Azerbaijan news agency were amongst the awarded persons.
Interfax-Azerbaijan General Director Alexander Ivanov received the Order for Service to the Fatherland of the Third Degree, the Taraggi Medal was bestowed on news agency employee Anar Azizov, Kaira Huseinova received the title of Merited Journalist, and Vagif Zeinalov - the Honorary Diploma of the Azeri President.
In all, 91 media personalities received the Tarragi Medal. The president ordered that honorary presidential pensions should be paid to two journalists.
Forty-four media representatives received the title of Merited Journalist, 17 were awarded the title of Merited Cultural Worker, and 21 the Honorary Diploma of the President.
