Aeroflot flies 12% more passengers in June
MOSCOW. July 22 (Interfax) - Aeroflot Russian Airlines carried 2.388 million passengers in June, 12% more than in the same month last year, the Russian flag carrier said.
Passenger turnover rose 11.3% year-on-year to 6.671 billion passenger-km.
The seat occupancy ratio in June grew 1.3 p.p. to 82.5%. Commercial freight also went up 0.5 p.p. to 64.3%.
From January to June this year Aeroflot flew 11.98 million passengers, which is 9.3% more than a year ago. Passenger turnover for this period grew 9.6% to 34.166 billion passenger-km. Seat occupancy for this period was up 0.4 p.p. to 76.9%. Commercial freight was down 0.8 p.p. to 60.8%.
In June the passenger flow for Aeroflot grew 10.6% to 3.727 million people. Passenger turnover increased for this period 6.3% to 9.152 billion passenger-km.
The seat occupancy factor in June was down 0.1 p.p. to 81.1%. Commercial freight was down 0.9 p.p. to 64.6%.
During the first six months of this year the Aeroflot group's passenger flow grew 14% to 17.854 million people. Passenger turnover for this period was 44.478 billion passenger-km, which is 8.7% higher than a year before. The percentage of seats filled stayed on the January-June 2014 level of 75.7%. Commercial freight fell 1 p.p. to 61%.
