Poroshenko tells 'Normandy Four' leaders Oct 18 and Nov 1 elections in Donbas inadmissible
KYIV. July 24 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has called the Donbas elections, scheduled for October 18 and November 1, inadmissible in a telephone conversation with German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the presidential press service has said in a report.
"The interlocutors discussed the upcoming elections in some districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions amongst other issues. In this context Poroshenko emphasized the inadmissibility of holding the elections planned for October 18 and November 1, that would have no legal implications," the report said.
