Venice Commission gives positive marks to proposed changes to Ukrainian Constitution - presidential administration
KYIV. July 25 (Interfax) - The European Commission for Democracy Through Law (Venice Commission) has given positive marks to the tentative text of the changes to the Ukrainian Constitution relating to the justice system, which was drawn up by the working group on justice and related legal institutions.
"The proposed changes are generally positive and deserve support. The provisions of the bill are well-worded. Their adoption will be an important step towards the creation of a truly independent judicial system in Ukraine," the press service for the Ukrainian presidential administration reported on Saturday, citing the conclusions published by the commission on July 24.
