BP reports 60%, not 33% drop in dividends from Rosneft due to weaker ruble
MOSCOW. July 28 (Interfax) - Dividends paid by Rosneft last year plummeted 36% to 8.21 rubles from 12.85 rubles a share in rubles, but for BP, the state oil giant's biggest shareholder, the dividends fell much more after the Russian currency weakened.
BP, which reports financial results in dollars, received $693 million in dividends after tax for 2013 on its 19.75% stake in Rosneft in July 2014.
In a report for Q2 2015, published on Tuesday, BP said it had received $297 million for 2014, a drop of nearly 61%.
