Technosila in H1 boosts internet sales by 41% to 2.45 bln rubles
MOSCOW. July 28 (Interfax) - Technosila, one of the leading Russian sellers of electronics and appliances, in H1 2015 increased internet sales by 41% to 2.45 billion rubles (with VAT) against 1.74 billion rubles (with VAT) in H1 2014, the company said.
Traffic on the website in January-June 2015 rose by 59%. Among the most rapidly growing cities for traffic were Krasnodar (+225%), Kaluga (+184%), Ufa (+166%), St. Petersburg (+159%), Rostov-on-Don (+142%) and Tyumen (+88%).
Leaders in sales were washing machines, refrigerators, televisions, built-in appliances and mobile phones.
The company's CEO, Ilya Timchenko, who was cited by the press service, said that in the first half of the year Technosila expanded internet sales due to children's and sports goods, and the increase of the assortment in the DIY category. In addition, a completely new area was introduced - the sale of furniture.
He said that the share of orders with the possibility of pick-up from retail stores of the chain amounted to 73% in H1 2015 and is continuing to grow.
"We are planning to further develop the services provided to clients both on the website and at Technosila stores in a completely new and modern format, which we are planning to present in the autumn of this year," Timchenko said.
The Technosila chain includes more than 90 stores in 59 Russian cities. Revenue in 2014 exceeded 27 billion rubles.
