Horlivka comes under heavy fire overnight - militia HQ

DONETSK. Aug 3 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired artillery weapons against the town of Horlivka last night, the local militia headquarters reported.

"The village of Shakhty 6-7 took the brunt of the shelling. It was hit by more than 50 shells. Two residential buildings were damaged in the village. No one was hurt," a spokesman for the Horlivka militia headquarters said.

All in all, up to 100 shells were launched against the town overnight, he said.

"We have no information about any civilian fatalities," he said.

The largest caliber weapons used in the Ukrainian side's strikes against Horlivka were 122mm artillery weapons, the spokesman said.
