Milner's DST forms $1.7 bln fund
MOSCOW. Aug 4 (Interfax) - Yury Milner's DST investment company has set another fund up, called DST Global V, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
The fund, registered on the Cayman Islands, has already raised $1.7 billion.
No other details were given.
DST (Digital Sky Technologies) funds have invested in Facebook, Twitter, Zynga, Groupon, Airbnb, Alibaba and several other Internet companies. Alisher Usmanov participated in some of the funds. At the end of last year, DST took part in a $1-billion investment round for Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi.
The first fund, DST Global, was set up in 2005. In 2010, DST Global II was launched, in 2011 - DST Global III and in 2014 - DST Global IV.
