Civilian killed, prison inmate wounded in Horlivka shelling - town administration
DONETSK. Aug 6 (Interfax) - One civilian has been killed and another has been wounded as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes against Horlivka in the past 24 hours, the Donetsk news agency reported on Thursday, citing town administration head Roman Khramenkov.
"One shell hit the roof of Correctional Facility No. 57. Up to 675 square meters were destroyed by fire and an inmate, born 1985, was injured. A 57-year-old man was killed in the Nikitovsky district," Khramenkov was quoted as saying by the news agency.
The office of the human rights commissioner for the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic reported earlier that two women had been killed and another eight people, among them two children, had been injured in strikes against Horlivka over the past week.
