Three Belarusian citizens hospitalized after road accident in Turkey - Minsk
MINSK. Aug 7 (Interfax) - The latest reports indicate that three citizens of Belarus were injured in a tour bus accident in Turkey on Thursday, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry has reported.
Earlier reports put the number of Belarusian citizens injured in the August 6 road accident in Turkey at two.
"The information available to the embassy suggests that three Belarusian women were admitted to hospitals after the traffic accident in Turkey. They are expected to be discharged [from the hospitals] any time soon," the ministry said on its Twitter account.
"Doctors have said that two Belarusian women suffered medium-gravity injuries. Among those injured there is a woman whose citizenship is still being established," the ministry said.
The Belarusian diplomatic mission in Ankara continues to closely follow the situation, it added.
It was reported earlier that a tourist bus had overturned on a road between Pamukkale and Antalya near Denizli, southwestern Turkey, at about 3:30 p.m. local time.
The bus belonged to the company Kilit Global, a counter-agent of the Russian travel operators Tez Tour and Biblio Globus.
Alexander Leshukov, a spokesman for the Russian embassy to Turkey, had told Interfax earlier on Thursday that four Russians had been killed and 27 others injured in the bus crash. Twenty injured Russians were taken to hospitals in Antalya and Denizli, he said.
Local media said there were 64 passengers on the bus, mostly citizens of Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. The Tez Tour press service said there were also citizens of Lithuania among the passengers.
