Ukrainian military report 111 instances of fire attacks at their positions in Donbas
KYIV. Aug 9 (Interfax) - The positions of the Ukrainian military came in Donbas came under fire 111 times on Saturday, the press center of the military operation reported on its Facebook page on Sunday.
According to the press center, at 6:45 p.m. and 7:35 p.m. BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers were used from the community of Kalynove at Ukrainian positions in the area of Sanzharivka.
At about 7:30 p.m. the Ukrainian stronghold in Troitske came under Grad fire and at 10:30 p.m. from an infantry combat vehicle.
Around 8 p.m. tank fire was opened at Pisky, Pershe Travnya and Krasnohorivka. At about 11 p.m. Ukrainian positionsin Vodyane came under 152mm artillery fire.
The Ukrainian military say that the community of Nevelske came under tank fire at 8 p.m. and three civilians were wounded.
In Luhansk region between 9 p.m. and midnight Ukrainian positions were attacked in Stanytsya Luhanska.
In addition, at about 2 p.m. three UAVs were identified in the area of Mariupol and between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. seven - in the skies above Luhansk region.
The report says that a total of 111 instances of fire registered with artillery being used nine times, mortars - 41 times, tanks - seven times and Grads - three times.
At around midnight there was shooting in the areas of Opytne, Avdiivka and Marinka in Donetsk region.
