Sakhalin Region Duma deputy detained on corruption suspicions
YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK. Aug 12 (Interfax) - Sakhalin Region Duma deputy, Chairman of the Committee on State Development, Regulations and Local Self-Government Sergei Zaritsky was taken into custody in his office on Wednesday morning, a source from the law enforcement authorities told Interfax.
"Zaritsky has been detained on suspicion of a corruption crime," he said.
The deputy will be transported to Moscow and processed by detectives of the Russian Investigative Committee, he said.
