Mutko calls events taking place in IAAF chaos

NOVOGORSK. Aug 12 (Interfax) - Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko said he believes the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) currently has no proper management.

"The world track and field athletics currently has no proper management. There is complete chaos there. I hope there will be a new president of world track and field athletics. If they run in the same manner, they will destroy track and field athletics," Mutko told reporters while meeting with the Russian track and field athletics national team.

Incumbent IAAF President Lamine Diack earlier announced that he will not run in the upcoming elections.

The candidates for the post of IAAF president are Ukrainian Serhiy Bubka and Briton Sebastian Coe.

The elections will be held in Beijing on August 19-20.
