TVEL aims to boost sales of non-nuclear products 15-20% in 2015

TOMSK. Aug 19 (Interfax) - TVEL, the nuclear fuel division of state company Rosatom, expects to increase sales of general industrial products and services by 15-20% in 2015, TVEL commercial director Andrei Andrianov told reporters on Tuesday.

"Revenue from sales of products and services of the general industry division [of TVEL] totalled about 12 billion rubles in 2014, including about 6 billion rubles worth of energy services. In 2015, we are planning about the same amount of sales in this area of the division's business. Taking into account the implementation of energy efficiency programs in Russia, demand for energy services is gradually decreasing, but sales of actual products of the non-nuclear division are growing and in 2015 will amount to about 7.2 billion rubles, in other words we expect growth of at least 15-20% compared to 2014," Andrianov said.

He said this forecast does not include sales of new production lines set up this year.

It was reported earlier that TVEL closed 2014 with net profit to Russian Accounting Standards down by almost half to 8.85 billion rubles from 17.1 billion rubles in 2013 on revenue down by 1.8% to 104.7 billion rubles.

TVEL, the sole shareholder of which is Atomenergoprom , consolidates all Russian assets in production of nuclear fuel, the separation-sublimation sector, as well as production of gas centrifuges and equipment for them.
