Purchasing interventions on grain market will take place three times a week
MOSCOW. Aug 19 (Interfax) - Purchasing interventions on the grain market will be carried out three times a week, the Agriculture Ministry said.
In total, before the end of 2015, it is planned to buy up to 2 million tonnes of grain for the state fund. "In total for the agricultural year [until July 1, 2016] the volume of grain purchases for the intervention fund will depend on the gross harvest and the market situation," the ministry said.
According to the statement, at the starting stage of interventions, Class 3, 4 and 5 wheat will be bought in the Crimean, Southern, Volga and North Caucasian Federal Districts.
State purchases of grain are beginning on Wednesday from Crimea. On August 20, the Volga, Saratov and Rostov regions and the Stavropol territory will be included.
