Russian embassy to Bratislava yet to find out whether Russians were on board planes that crashed in Slovakia

MOSCOW/BRATISLAVA. Aug 20 (Interfax) - The Russian embassy to Bratislava so far does not possess information on whether any Russian citizens were on board two planes that collided in mid-air in Slovakia earlier on Thursday.

"We are following this situation and have yet to find out whether Russians were on board these planes," an embassy source told Interfax.

"We don't have such information so far," he added.

It was reported earlier that two light 'sport' aircrafts collided in mid-air over the village of Cerveny Kamen in western Slovakia. Preliminary reports indicate that some 40 people were on board the two planes and at least seven were killed in the incident.
