Kyiv reports release of four Ukrainian volunteers from captivity
KYIV. Aug 20 (Interfax) - Four people who were captured by the militia in Donetsk have been freed, volunteer and adviser to deputy Defense Minister Vasiliy Budik said on Facebook.
"Another four people have left Donetsk today. The release of the volunteers is a result of lengthy and tense negotiations between the group led by Viktor Medvedchuk and representatives of the DPR and the LPR. Thanks to the negotiators' efforts the guys will see their families today," Budik said.
Budik said UN officials were involved in the negotiation process.
"The authorized group is returning to Donetsk. The negotiations continue," Budik said.
