Alfa-Bank planning to bankrupt Stroygazconsulting, subsidiary

MOSCOW. Aug 21 (Interfax) - Alfa-Bank is planning to submit a bankruptcy notice concerning LLC Stroygazconsulting to an arbitration court.

The relevant notification was placed on the single federal register of information on legal entities' activities.

At the same time the bank made a notification about its intentions to bankrupt the subsidiary of Stroygazconsulting, LLC SGC-Avtostrada.

It was reported earlier that creditors filed lawsuits against Stroygazconsulting which amounted about 30 billion rubles. The new owners announced their intentions to restructure the debts of the company.

The majority shareholder and the founder of Stroygazconsulting is businessman Ziyad Manasir, who last year agreed on the sale of 74.1% of the company to businessman Ruslan Baisarov, but the deal did not go through. In April of this year, Gazprombank and United Capital Partners (UCP) in equal shares bought out 100% of the shares of the companies controlling Stroygazconsulting. The main creditor of Stroygazconsulting is Alfa-Bank and Bank of Moscow .

A few years ago Stroygazconsulting was Gazprom's largest construction contractor. But with the loss of contracts from the gas monopoly, Stroygazconsulting began to experience serious financial difficulties. In attempts to diversify its order portfolio, the company tried to enter other markets, but this did not help it resolve its financial problems.
