Russian airlines increase passenger transport 2.8% to 11.26 mln people
MOSCOW. Aug 24 (Interfax) - Russian airline companies carried 11.262 million passengers in July this year which is up 2.8% year-on-year, the site for the Federal Agency for Air Transportation (Rosaviatsiya) said.
Passenger turnover grew 0.4% in July to 27.343 billion passenger kilometers.
The percentage of seats filled in July grew 0.8 p.p. to 88.3%. Commercial cargo was also up 0.9 p.p. to 72.4%.
From January-July, Russian airliners carried 52.468 million people, which is about the same number compared with the same time last year. Passenger turnover for the seven months was down 4.6% to 130.454 million passenger kilometers. The seats filled percentage in January-July was down 0.5 p.p. to 79.2%. Commercial cargo loads were also down 0.4 p.p. to 66.3%.
