Agreement on withdrawing weapons with caliber under 100mm may be signed on Sept 8 - OSCE SMM

MINSK. Aug 27 (Interfax) - OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug hopes that the Contact Group parties will sign an agreement on the withdrawal of weapons with caliber under 100mm in Donbas on September 8.

Interfax asked Hug to evaluate the chances for signing the document on September 8. Hug said he was hopeful and the ongoing work of the security subgroup was a good sign.

He found it difficult to predict for how long the security subgroup's meeting might last on Thursday.

Until they lose their energy, Hug joked.
