Russian, U.S. special envoys discuss situation around Syrian peace process

MOSCOW. Aug 28 (Interfax) - The Russian President's Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, met with United States Special Envoy for Syria Michael Ratney in Moscow on Friday to discuss prospects for the political settlement of the Syrian crisis.

"The pair exchanged views on a broad range of issues, including efforts to facilitate a swift political and diplomatic resolution of the Syrian crisis and the challenges of the prospective fight against the terror threat," the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website.
