LPR militia to cease fire on September 1 - envoy
MOSCOW. Aug 31 (Interfax) - The Luhansk People's Republic promises to cease fire on September 1 and accuses Kyiv of failure to fulfill its own initiative to cease fire early.
"[Ukrainian President Petro] Poroshenko said today that he issued an order to immediately cease fire back on [August] 27, but it has not happened yet. Either his order is not being fulfilled or there was no order at all. We currently don't see Kyiv observing this initiative," LPR envoy Vladislav Deinego told Interfax.
In the meantime, he said, the LPR will follow the previously reached agreements on full ceasefire from September 1.
"We are fulfilling our obligations regardless of what Kyiv will be doing. We have made all decisions [on full ceasefire from September 1]," Deinego said.
