Medvedev to visit Belarus to participate in EEU event, bilateral meetings

MOSCOW. Aug 31 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will participate in a session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council which will be held in the Belarusian city of Grodno on September 8.

"The agenda of the meeting includes the issues of coordinated industrial policy within the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), ensuring macroeconomic and financial stability, shaping a common market of services, development of relations with foreign countries and international organizations," the government press service said.

At the meeting it is planned to sign a treaty on the coordination of actions to protect the rights on intellectual property objects and the agreement on the implementation of a pilot project on the introduction of goods marked by identification signs in 2015-2016.

"Medvedev is planning several bilateral meetings with the heads of governments of the EEU member-states in Grodno," the press service said.
