Putin confirms Russia's intention to develop strategic partnership with Uzbekistan
MOSCOW. Sept 1 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated his Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov on the national holiday, Independence Day, the Kremlin press service said on Tuesday.
The congratulatory message of the Russian president declared the noticeable successes of Uzbekistan in the solution of socioeconomic development problems and its well deserved authority inside and outside Central Asia.
Putin lauded the dynamic relations of strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Uzbekistan in every area.
The Russian president said he was confident that bilateral relations would continue to grow in every field and constructive cooperation will develop at the UN, the CIS, the SCO and other multilateral unions in the interest of citizens of both countries and in the spirit of strengthening regional stability and security.
