Moscow views ceasefire in Donbas as important step toward peaceful settlement in southeastern Ukraine - Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. Sept 1 (Interfax) - Moscow views the absence of ceasefire violations in southeastern Ukraine starting from September 1 as an important step toward the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
"Russia views this event as an important step in terms of the implementation of relevant provisions of the Minsk agreements of February 12 this year and intends to continue making all the necessary efforts in this context to achieve a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, which would meet the interests of all its citizens," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a commentary available on its website.
