Rosneft and GE agree on production localization in oil and gas and shipbuilding industry in Russia

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - Rosneft and General Electric signed a number of agreements at the Eastern Economic Forum, aimed at expanding the program of localization of advanced technologies in the oil and gas industry and shipbuilding in Russia, the oil company said.

The agreements provide for the production of wellhead equipment, well-control equipment as well as rudder propellers.

Under the agreement, the parties will study the possibility of creating a plant for the production and / or assembly of the wellhead and well-control equipment in Russia.

Additionally, the company will estimate the possibility for joint work of rudder propellers in the Primorsky territory.
