Russian Justice Ministry puts Golos Foundation in Support of Democracy on register of foreign agents

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - The Russian Justice Ministry has reported putting the Golos Foundation in Support of Democracy on the register of non-governmental organizations acting as foreign agents.

"In line with the federal law 'On Non-Governmental Organizations', the Golos Foundation in Support of Democracy was put on the register of non-governmental organizations performing foreign agents' functions," the Justice Ministry reported on its website.

"The reasons to qualify the organization as a non-governmental organization performing a foreign agent's functions were uncovered during an unplanned on-site inspection conducted by the Russian Justice Ministry's main department for Moscow," it said.
