Five LPR militiamen found dead near Luhansk
KYIV. Sept 7 (Interfax) - Ukrainian servicemen have found dead five men dressed in LPR militia camouflage uniforms in the Stanitsa Luhanska district of the Luhansk region. The men died in a mine explosion, army representative in the Luhansk region Ruslan Tkachuk wrote on his official website on Monday.
He said the bodies were found on the bank of the Severskyi Donets River on Sunday; the men were carrying no identification and it was impossible to establish their age. Automatic weapons with cartridge clips were found near the bodies. The men died about two weeks ago.
Ukrainian servicemen think that the group had attempted an incursion into Kyiv-controlled territory and were killed in a mine explosion.
