Moscow awaiting Greece's reaction to U.S. call to close its airspace for aircraft carrying Russian humanitarian aid for Syria
MOSCOW. Sept 7 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has suggested waiting for the Greek reaction before giving the Russian assessment of the U.S. request for the Greek authorities to close their airspace to Russian aircraft carrying humanitarian aid to Syria.
"Our Greek partners said they are considering this request," Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday, commenting on the U.S. request for Athens.
"It is too soon for us to say anything before Athens voices its reaction," he said.
