Russia never concealed military-technological cooperation with Syria, helping Syrians master Russian hardware - Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Russia has never concealed its military-technological cooperation with Syria, it is providing assistance to Syrians by training them to operate Russian military hardware and it cannot understand the hysteria about this, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told journalists on Wednesday.
"Russia has never made a secret of its military-technological cooperation with Syria. Russian military specialists help Syrians master Russian hardware, and we can't understand the anti-Russian hysteria about this," Zakharova said.
"We have supplied hardware for a long time, and this all is being done in keeping with bilateral contracts and based on international law," she said.
"I can confirm and reiterate that there are Russian military specialists in Syria who help [Syrians] master the hardware they receive," she said.
