Ulyukayev still advising Russians to keep savings in rubles
PARIS. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Russians still ought to keep their savings mostly in rubles, if their expenditure is in rubles, Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said.
"It depends on the structure of income and the structure of expenditure. If the structure of income and expenditure is in rubles, then of course you need to save mostly in rubles," he told reporters, when asked in what currency it was best to keep savings.
"If you think you might have spending in another currency, for example on education, training, trips, then put something aside in that currency. It's all very simple," he said.
