Putin includes Italians in decree on rehabilitation of ethnic groups repressed in Crimea in Soviet times
SEVASTOPOL. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin says he has signed amendments to a decree on the rehabilitation of ethnic groups repressed in Soviet times by including Italians in this list.
"I want to inform our friend [former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi] that I already signed amendments to this decree this morning, which says about the need to rehabilitate the Italians who lived here [in Crimea]," Putin told journalists while visiting the Chersonesus Taurica ancient architectural site together with Berlusconi.
