Launch of Russian-European ExoMars mission may be moved to March 2016 - source

MOSCOW. Sept 17 (Interfax-AVN) - The launch of Europe's ExoMars research mission on board Russia's Proton-M launch vehicle is most likely to be rescheduled from January to March 2016, a source in the Russian space rocket sector told Interfax-AVN.

"The possibility of moving the launch of the Proton with the European research spacecraft from January 7, 2016 to March is being considered. The delay has been caused by technical reasons," he said.

The participants in the ExoMars program are expected to adopt their final decision and announce it before the end of September, the source said,
