Antiterrorism operation regime over in Dagestan's Gunib district, several summer camps of militants destroyed
MAKHACHKALA. Sept 25 (Interfax) - An antiterrorism operation which started in the Gunib district of Dagestan on September 15 has come to an end, a source in the Dagestani operative staff has told Interfax.
"The antiterrorism operation regime was lifted at 11 a.m. upon the end of the operation," he said.
Passports were checked in populated localities of the Gunib district and special operations units searched the area in the course of the antiterrorism operation launched on September 15.
"A number of militants' summer camps, dugouts and caches storing gear, food and ammunition were found and destroyed," the staff representative said.
