Three injured in gun attack at Simferopol ambulance station

MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - The entire police personnel in Simferopol was put on alert on Saturday after a gunman attacked an ambulance substation, a spokesperson for the Russian Interior Ministry told Interfax.

"Today, at around 2 p.m., a man walked onto the grounds of an ambulance substation in Simferopol and opened fire at a medical vehicle. The doctor and two nurses who were inside it at the time have been hospitalized to get treatment for gunshot injuries," the spokesperson said.

According to early reports, the shots were fired from a 12-caliber rifle. The gunman fled, all measures are now in place to find and apprehend him.
