Belozerov: RZD has large reserves for internal optimization

SOCHI. Oct 2 (Interfax) - Russian Railways (RZD) has enough large reserves for internal optimization, the head of the company, Oleg Belozerov said.

"First and foremost - this is of course a decline in internal cost. We have reserves. Large reserves. We have conducted a few meetings of the budget committee at RZD and we outlined a serious plan of actions," he said, answering a question as to what he sees as the three main tasks for himself, considering the crisis situation in the country's economy.

The second task he named was increasing energy efficiency, and the third - customer focus. Belozerov was named the head of RZD in August of this year.
