No use of anti-aircraft systems against Russian planes in Syria recorded - Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. Oct 3 (Interfax-AVN) - The use of anti-aircraft systems against Russian warplanes that have been conducting their operations in Syria over the past several days has not been recorded, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Saturday.
"The use of anti-aircraft systems in the areas on Syrian territory where Russian planes have been employed has not been recorded. Despite this, our planes have used special onboard defense systems during all of their flights," Konashenkov said at a news briefing.
Unmanned aerial vehicles "have been monitoring the situation in the areas where ISIL groups are acting on a round-the-clock basis," he said.
"All targets detected have been destroyed promptly regardless of weather conditions or the time of day," he said.
