YAKUTSK. October 7 (Interfax) - Leasing companies are ready to transfer the airplanes that are currently being leased by Transaero to other companies, the head of The Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) Alexader Neradko told reporters on Wednesday in Yakutsk.

"Others already have some intentions for Transaero's fleet, Aeroflot" wants to use around 30-35 Transaero planes. A few other companies which I will not name are also ready to take airplanes," he said.

He said that VEB-leasing , VTB-leasing, and Sberbank Leasing were among the lessors.

"Thus, [Transaero's] leased fleet will be used for carrying passengers. It is not a secret that Transaero had more than a gross surplus of airplanes in its fleet, therefore those planes which will go to other companies will be used to carry out domestic and international flights," he said.

Transaero is the second in terms of passenger flow among air carriers in Russia. The Russian government made the decision the Transaero would go bankrupt and starting on October 1, the air carrier stopped selling tickets.
