Putin breaks own record by shooting seventh puck in one match
SOCHI. Oct 7 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has set his own record by the number of pucks shot during a gala match of the Night Hockey League (NHL).
The president's team, NHL Stars, has beat the rival, the NHL team, with a 15:10 score. The seven pucks into the adversary's net were shot by the Russian president.
This time round, Putin broke his own record set in 2014. Back then, during an NHL gala match, the head of state distinguished himself with a penta-trick, having shot five pucks during the game and earned a total of ten points.
At the start of the game the score was opened by the NHL team, but was equalized by Putin already in the first minutes. The final, fifteenth puck into the NHL team's net, was also shot by the Russian president.
After the final siren was sounded at the arena, spectators started chanting, "Happy birthday!" to congratulate the Russian president who turns 63 today.
