Comments over Pentagon's statements on flight of Russian missiles should be addressed to Russian Defense Ministry - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Oct 8 (Interfax) - Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov redirected to the Defense Ministry the question about the U.S. statement that Moscow did not inform Washington about a missile strike from the Caspian Sea region on the Islamic State militants in Syria.

"It is needed to put questions to the defense minister," he told reporters.

Peskov also replied to the question whether Pentagon chief Ashton Carter's words that Russian missiles have flown several miles away from a U.S. drone and that Moscow did not notify Washington about the prepared launches meant that the relevant consultative mechanism between the defense agencies of Russia and the United States has not started working so far.
