DPR claims deadlines for implementation of numerous provisions of Minsk agreements shifted into next year

DONETSK. Oct 9 (Interfax) - The deadlines for implementations of a number of provisions set forth in the Minsk agreements have been shifted into 2016, the negotiator for the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, has said.

"Many provisions have changed their deadlines for 2016 and we will be able to see during this period whether Kyiv listens to the 'Normandy format' [the Normandy Quartet, i.e. Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany] and we will actually see a true discussion in the subgroup on political issues, or Kyiv will once again try to invent something in order not to implement and postpone the implementation of the 'Package of Measures', citing some fabricated reasons," Pushilin told reporters on Friday.

For the time being, it is very important for the DPR to introduce a regulation of work in the subgroups and the contact group, he said.

"And of course, it is very important for us to initial those draft bills that will be agreed upon in the framework of the subgroups on political issues since we understand that the initialing, putting down the signatures of the parties, is necessary for any document to be implemented," Pushilin said.
