DPR militiaman killed, another two people wounded in Donetsk airport shelling
DONETSK. Oct 10 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian military opened fire on the Donetsk airport area, killing one militiaman, the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has said.
"A tragedy has happened today - one soldier has been killed and another two [people] have been wounded. Three mines landed at this position. An illuminating bomb also landed under the ground floor of a nine-storey [residential] building. As a result, a fire broke out there," Eduard Basurin of the DPR Defense Ministry told reporters.
"I noted today that provocations are being prepared on the part of the Right Sector, which is beefing up its presence here under the disguise of rotation," Basurin said.
Representatives of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe mission have already documented the violation, he added.
