Armenian regulator approves Inter RAO sale of Hrazdan Energy Co

YEREVAN. Oct 12 (Interfax) - Armenia's Public Service Regulatory Commission on Friday gave the green light for Russian power company Inter RAO to sell its 100% of shares in Hrazdan Energy Company (Hrazdan TPP) to Liormand Holdings Limited, a division of Tashir Group.

Taking into account Inter RAO's request to the commission on September 22 and Hrazdan TPP's request on September 28, as well as a corresponding letter from the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry of Armenia, the commission decided to allow Inter RAO to sell its 100% of shares in Hrazdan TPP to Liormand Holdings Limited. The decision goes into effect upon signing, the regulator said in a statement posted on its website.

On October 1, the commission granted permission for Inter RAO to sell another asset in Armenia, Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), to Liormand Holdings. The seller of the 100% in ENA is Inter RAO Holding B.V.
