Bashneft aims to boost refining depth at own refineries to 98% by 2020
MOSCOW. Oct 12 (Interfax) - Bashneft plans, in keeping with its approved development strategy to 2020, to boost refining depth at its own refineries to 98% and light product yield to 75%, the company said in a presentation.
"By 2020, refining depth at Bashneft's refineries will reach 98%; at the same time, the share of light products will increase to 75%, while production of fuel oil will have ceased completely," the company said.
Refining depth is currently 85.2% and light product yield is 68.5%.
Bashneft also plans to be selling up to 80% of the gasoline it producers via its own filling stations, which should grow to 1,000 in number. It will achieve this with a re-branding program and by developing more profitable small-scale wholesale distribution channels.
Bashneft is also intent on "developing petrochemical production and achieving synergies from integration with refineries by upgrading petrochemical facilities and increasing the output of high-margin polymer products."
Bashneft also said it had achieved a balance between upstream (385,000 bpd) and downstream capacity (371,000 bpd) due to production growth in Timan-Pechora, Western Siberia and Bashkortostan.
