Putin puzzled by U.S. bombing of Aleppo power station
MOSCOW. Oct 13 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed regret that western partners have been trying to blame Russia for a whole host of international problems, and cited Syria as an example.
"They say that we are shooting the wrong target. On Sunday U.S. aircraft bombed an electricity station and a transformer in Aleppo. Why did they do it, what for? Who did they punish there? What is the point of it? It is unclear," Putin told the government on Tuesday.
There will be no such issues and "fewer errors if communication is direct, working and keen on solving all the problems, including those in the economic sphere," he said.
Now, he said, in a similar vein, they are trying to make Russia responsible for solving Ukraine's debt problem: "Again, all problems are being hung on us, just like in Syria's case."
