DPR reports over 60 violations of ceasefire by Ukrainian military over two weeks

DONETSK. Oct 13 (Interfax) - Since early October the Ukrainian military have violated the ceasefire regime on the contact line with the forces of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) on 61 occasions, senior official of the DPR Defense Ministry Eduard Basurin said.

"In the shellings of settlements and positions of the DPR militia 122mm artillery guns fired 21 projectiles, 120mm and 82mm mortars fired 84 shells. From the beginning of the month the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have breached the ceasefire regime on 61 occasions," Basurin told a press briefing on Tuesday.

He said that the adversary also used tank cannons, armored personnel carrier weaponry and small arms.

The reported cases show once again "the intentions of the Ukrainian authorities to foil the process of the Minsk agreements ahead of the pullback of weapons under 100mm in caliber and tanks."
